A woman in Santa Susana Knolls called me on a Saturday morning. She was standing in her driveway with a 2019 Sienna that wouldn't acknowledge her fob. She asked what the dealer would have charged just to diagnose it. I told her I honestly didn't know their current rate, but I wasn't going to charge her what a diagnosis plus a new fob plus programming would have run. She said that tracked with her prior experience there.
It was a short job. But short jobs that save someone a big bill on a Saturday morning are the ones people remember.
