I got a call from a customer over in Moorpark Home Acres. Her 2006 IS had been acting strange for about a week. The car would start fine in the morning, then by mid-afternoon the push-button start would throw a key warning and she'd be standing in a parking lot clicking the fob at nothing.

No electrical problem. No mysterious fault in the car. Just a fob that wasn't properly paired the first time and a battery that was already on its way out. Job took about 40 minutes on her driveway, and she didn't have to arrange a tow or wait on a dealer appointment.
