I got a call from a guy over in the Wilson neighborhood of Oxnard. He was frustrated before I even picked up.

He'd already paid another locksmith to replace his key on his 2010 Lexus IS, and the car would crank, almost catch, then die after about two seconds every single time. The other locksmith told him the smart key module was bad and that he'd need a dealer repair. Then he walked off the job.
