Could've rebuilt it, but with medication warming up in the heat, I went straight to a new 285E3-6SA7B from my stock. Registered it through the OBD port while he cranked the AC. The NATS-6 handshake took maybe 90 seconds. Test locked, unlocked, remote started, panic button, trunk release. All five buttons working with full range.
Total time from arrival to cold air blowing: 12 minutes. The dealer had quoted him overnight service. His insulin stayed cool.
