2023 Ford Edge Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

Got called out to Ojai Meadows Preserve for a 2023 Edge with a dead smart key. The owner had already tried two CR2450 batteries from different stores. Still nothing.

I found her sitting on the curb next to her Edge, using the emergency blade to manually lock and unlock like it was 1995. She'd been doing this for three days because the dealer couldn't see her until next week.

Popped open the M3N-A2C931426 fob right there on the hood. The battery was new but the negative clip had that telltale slight bend from being pried too many times. Fixed the clip tension, seated the CR2450 properly, and tested all five buttons. Lock, unlock, remote start, panic, hatch. All back online.

Then came the real test. Started the Edge, walked the fob away to check detection range, made sure the passive entry worked on both front doors. No more "No Key Detected" warnings.
