I got a call from a woman parked in Downtown Fillmore. She'd been to a hardware store kiosk, had a key cut, and the blade turned fine in the ignition. Truck didn't start. She figured the kiosk cut was off, so she had it cut again somewhere else. Same result. By the time she called me she was convinced something was broken in the ignition itself.

She mentioned the dealer had quoted her a number that made her hesitate long enough to find me instead. I don't blame her for hesitating. The job took about 25 minutes on the asphalt next to her truck, and she didn't have to arrange a tow or burn half a day in a waiting room.
