She had just left urgent care with her kid and a bag of prescriptions waiting to be filled. The 2012 Colorado sat in the lot and would not start. She had one key, it was the original, and it wasn't doing anything. Engine cranked but quit immediately, every time.

The immobilizer was rejecting it clean.
I connected to the OBD port and ran the relearn for the chip. Tested it. The engine started and stayed running, which is the part that matters after a crank-and-stall situation.
From her phone call to the engine running was under an hour. She made it to the pharmacy with time to spare. The dealer would have been the next morning, minimum. Sometimes the whole job comes down to having the right tool in a parking lot at 7pm.
