2004 Ford Expedition Remote Head Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

A guy near Oxnard College lost his only key to his 2004 Expedition somewhere on the sand. He spent an hour retracing his steps, checked with the lifeguard station, dug through a bag twice, and came up empty. His truck was just sitting in the lot with no way in and no way to start it.

He was already looking up tow trucks and figured the Expedition was stuck there until Monday when the dealer opened. I told him I could be out that afternoon.

First thing I did was pick the door with my HU101 Lishi and decode every wafer position off the lock. Cut a fresh blade right there on the tailgate. Then I plugged into the OBD-II port and ran the PATS all-keys-lost procedure, which wipes any previous key IDs from the PCM and the transceiver module, then learns the new 4D/63 transponder as primary. The OUCD6000022 remote head key started the truck on the first turn.

I cut him a second key on the spot. Two working keys, both programmed, both tested on the doors and the ignition. The whole job ran about 45 minutes.

He kept looking at the key like he didn't trust it yet. Turned it again just to hear it catch. Then he drove home from that same lot with a spare in his pocket this time.
