2016 Ford Expedition Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A woman near Ventura City Hall called because her 2016 Expedition wouldn't see her smart key. She was getting "No Key Detected" on the dash every time she hit the start button. The backup method worked, holding the fob right against the column, but normal range was gone.

I bent the tab back into position with a pick, seated a fresh CR2032, and closed it up. Then I walked the vehicle: driver handle touch unlock, passenger handle, lock button on both handles, all five fob buttons, push-button start from different spots in the cabin.
Everything came back. Full range, every door, the liftgate, remote start. She said the dealer had her convinced the next step was a new fob and reprogramming.
She didn't need any of that. Just a battery contact that got overlooked and a fresh CR2032, done at her car for a fraction of what they wanted.
