Out in Pacific View, I got a call from an Expedition owner who had been dealing with an intermittent key-not-detected warning for about two weeks. Some mornings it started fine. I straightened the contact, seated a fresh battery with proper pressure, and then connected to run a full check on the pairing between the fob and the vehicle. The link was still intact. No re-registration needed. I walked every button, tested both door handles, and watched the dash for any warning while he cycled the vehicle off and on three times.
