Got the call from a restaurant in Sunset Hills. Purse theft, 2024 Expedition sitting in the lot with zero keys.

Her husband had already called the dealer. They wanted the truck towed in, said it would sit for three to five business days waiting on parts, then another day for programming. The whole package was pushing into four figures once you added the tow.

I showed up with my Autel IM608 Pro and the right blanks. First thing with stolen keys: wipe the PATS memory clean so that missing fob can't start the truck anymore. Connected through the OBD2, cleared all stored keys, then programmed two new M3N-A3C054339 fobs from scratch.

The emergency blade took some patience. Ford uses the HU101 profile but the Expedition's lock has tighter tolerances than older trucks. Decoded it with my Lishi tool, cut both blades on my Condor XC-Mini Plus. Test fit showed clean movement, no binding.

Both fobs tested good on all five buttons. Push-to-start recognized them instantly. Door handles responded to the touch sensors. She was ready to drive home while the police were still taking statements in the parking lot.

Dealer quote was over a thousand with the tow and wait time. I handled everything on site for a fraction of that, and the stolen key became a dead piece of plastic.
