Yes. The key memory reset process erases every previously stored fob and registers only the ones you authorize at the end of the job. Q: I bought a replacement fob online for my 2011 ES. Can I program it myself?

No. There's no DIY sequence for this system. No button combination, no ignition cycling trick, nothing like that. Pairing a new fob to the 2011 ES requires a scan tool communicating through the OBD port. If you bought a blank online, you're not out of luck, you just still need a tech to finish the job.
