Got a call from a guy over in the Avenue neighborhood in Ventura. His 2019 Lexus ES 350 had two smart keys when he bought it. One went through the wash a year ago, dead after that. Programmed two fresh fobs with the H-8A chip, cut the emergency mechanical inserts to match the driver door, and ran the full check: lock, unlock, trunk, panic, push-button start from the driver seat, and start from the back seat with the fob in a pocket.
The part he liked was watching me test the walk-away auto-lock. He stepped ten feet back, doors locked on their own, and he just nodded like that settled it.
