A guy in Rose Park, Oxnard, called me on a Sunday afternoon. His 2013 Corvette was sitting in his driveway and would not acknowledge either fob. Not one, not the other. Both dead to the car at the same time.
He had already bought two new CR2032s and swapped them in. Still nothing. The dash was throwing a key-not-detected warning every time he approached. He figured the car had lost its mind and was already mentally preparing for a flatbed and a week at the dealer.

I connected to the OBD port and ran the all-keys-lost procedure for the GM smart key system. The tool reads the security data from the body control module and walks through the relearn sequence. Both fobs went back in. I walked the perimeter, tested door handle approach on both sides, tested every button, confirmed the start system recognized the fob properly.
He was back in the car in about forty-five minutes. The dealer conversation he was dreading never had to happen. He saved a good chunk and did not lose the car for a week.
