I was parked on Telephone Road finishing up a call when the next one came in. A guy over in the College area of Ventura, near the community college, couldn't get his 2025 Equinox to acknowledge the fob at all. Car wouldn't unlock from the handle, wouldn't recognize the key when he sat down. He'd already tried holding the fob right up to the start button, which sometimes works when the battery is nearly dead. Nothing.
