Over near Harry A. Lyon Park in Ventura, a woman flagged me down in the Walmart parking lot. Not literally, she had called ahead, but she was standing outside the Suburban waving like I might drive past.

Cut the Z-keyway blade on the mobile machine, tested it in the ignition, waited for the security light on the dash to cycle off.
The whole thing took about 25 minutes. She turned the new key twice just to be sure, then tucked it in her wallet like it was a credit card.
