2022 Chevrolet Suburban Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
I got a call from a Eucalyptus Hill resident on a Tuesday morning. She had lost her only remote for her 2022 Suburban and called the dealer first. They told her to have the vehicle towed in, said they needed to order the fob, and estimated several days before she would have a working key. She was already annoyed by the time she reached me.
I pulled up to her driveway off the hill with my programming unit and a compatible remote in the bag. The 2022 Suburban uses a six-button remote with a CR2450 cell, and the programming sequence runs through the OBD port. The tool reads the vehicle data, registers the new remote to the immobilizer, and pairs the keyless functions at the same time. One visit, one tool, done on site.
What made her laugh was the timing. I finished, handed her the tested remote, and she was back inside her house in under 35 minutes from when I pulled up. The dealer had quoted her days and a tow. She said she almost did it.
I get that call a lot. People assume the dealer is the only one with access to the right equipment on a newer GM truck. The 2022 Suburban is not some exotic edge case. It is a known, well-documented system and any locksmith carrying current GM-capable tooling handles it regularly.
